CONMEBOL Delays Argentina vs Colombia Final Due to Fans Without Tickets
An avalanche of dozens of fans wearing jerseys of the Colombian and some of the Argentine national teams at one of the entrances to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami forced authorities to temporarily close access and postpone the start of the match.
Five hours before the Argentina vs Colombia match was scheduled to begin, numerous fans began to gather at the Hard Rock Stadium gates, initially with a festive attitude that grew tense as the opening time approached.
The actions of these fans, who did not have tickets to the match, caused panic among those waiting in line to enter the stands and led organizers to temporarily close all access points. This sparked protests among those who did have tickets and were prevented from entering.
Fans climbed over barriers, overwhelming the guards' capacity to react, and once inside, they ran through access corridors towards the stands.
Many relatives of players from the Colombian and Argentine national teams were left outside the stadium due to the abrupt closure of the entrance gates, prompting some players to head directly to the dressing rooms.
