"It's official: Buenos Aires will host the final of the 2024 Copa @Libertadores. What joy to welcome you to our country @CONMEBOL!" posted the official account of the Argentine federation on the X social network.

Since the Copa Libertadores switched to a single-match format, Argentina has not hosted any final of the tournament. The last memorable final in Argentina dates back to 2018 when eternal rivals River Plate and Boca Juniors clashed in a historic matchup.
