Étoile du Sahel is on the road to the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League, duking it out with Esperance for the last spot to qualify in Group C.

However, Esperance had other plans, snagging a 2-0 victory on the road, with goals from Yan Sasse and Zakaria El Ayeb both netting in the first half to wrap up the game within the first 45 minutes, leaving little room for Étoile du Sahel to maneuver.

With this result, Étoile du Sahel drops to the bottom of Group C and it's all or nothing in the final matchday, while Esperance sits in second place in the group; a draw would secure them automatic qualification.
