Joshua Kimmich Could Leave Bayern Munich in the Summer
The German team would be willing to let go of Kimmich for the upcoming summer transfer window.
After nearly a decade with the Bavarian club, Joshua Kimmich could be experiencing his final moments with Bayern Munich.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern would be willing to sell the German international if a suitable offer arrives, this after the team has found a player who can replace the 29-year-old midfielder, Aleksandar Pavlovic.
On the other hand, the player is also not ruling out a change of scenery and a new challenge in his career, giving himself the opportunity to consider offers from other clubs interested in his services.
Another reason why Kimmich could be expected to leave the club next summer is the new position he has started in recent games (right-back), a position that Bayern intends to strengthen next season with Jeremy Frimpong, current player of Bayern Leverkusen. In response to this situation, Kimmich has already spoken out and made it clear that for now, the most important thing for him is to maintain his good performance. "My situation is very clear. I still have more than a year left on my contract, and no one has talked to me yet. I'm calm. After all, for me, it's just about performing. We have a Euro coming up and then we'll see," the player mentioned.
So far, there are five teams that could be in the running for the midfielder: Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Real Madrid. Of these teams, it is said that several have already contacted him and the team to discuss his departure; however, nothing official has been confirmed yet.
