Top 10: The most valuable brands in world football

  • The power of the biggest clubs is no longer measured by titles alone. A new ranking reveals which institutions dominate the business of world football.

The biggest clubs compete every season for titles, signings and prestige, but there is another battle taking place away from the pitch: the value of their brands.

The new Brand Finance Football 50 2026 report shows just how much the commercial power of the world's leading institutions has grown. The 50 most valuable club brands are collectively worth €23.9 billion, while the top 10 alone account for around €14.9 billion, nearly two-thirds of the total.

10. Borussia Dortmund — €664 million
The German club increases its value by 8% and once again occupies 10th place in the ranking.

Arsenal produces one of the biggest jumps

One of the most striking developments comes from London. Arsenal climbed five places to third, their best result since the Football 50 was created.

Their brand value grew by 28% to €1.5 billion, driven by a season in which they won the Premier League again after 22 years and reached the Champions League final.

Spain once again takes the top two spots

Above everyone else are once again the two Spanish giants.

Real Madrid reached €2.4 billion, a figure representing 25% growth and allowing the club to retain top spot for a third consecutive season.

In addition, Los Blancos earned 95.8 points out of 100 in the Brand Strength Index, the highest score among the 281 clubs studied by Brand Finance.

Barcelona, meanwhile, remains second and approaches €2.0 billion after growing by 15%. The return to the Spotify Camp Nou and recent sporting success are among the factors that helped boost its valuation.

England places five clubs in the Top 10

The Premier League once again demonstrates its enormous commercial power. Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all appear among the 10 highest-valued brands.

However, none are able to surpass the two LaLiga giants, who continue to occupy the top positions, while Bayern Munich, PSG and Borussia Dortmund complete the representation from Europe's major leagues.

An increasingly concentrated business

The Football 50 figures show how the commercial value of football continues to grow, but also how a significant share is concentrated among a small group of institutions.

The top 10 clubs account for approximately €14.9 billion in brand value, more than 60% of the €23.9 billion represented by the entire Top 50.

Beyond sporting results, the ability to generate revenue, attract global supporters, develop stadiums, secure commercial agreements and turn sporting prestige into an international brand has become another of the major competitions in modern football.
