The death of one of the best players in the world not only left sadness in towns and the sport but also questions from those who were closest to or knew Diego Armando Maradona. After six years, a judicial process will begin to judge the members of the medical team who were in charge of Maradona in his final moments; they are accused of being responsible for his death.
Diego Maradona's death
Maradona died on November 25, 2020, from a cardiac arrest in a situation unexpected for the global public, raising many doubts about the conditions in which the Argentine football star was being treated. The investigation will be labeled as "homicide with eventual intent" in the number 7 criminal oral court of San Isidro.
Diego was in a complicated health situation at the age of 60, with a history of various diseases and problems; he had even undergone a cranial operation prior to his death.

Accused
The accused in the case are psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov, neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque, psychologist Carlos Ángel Díaz, doctor Nancy Edith Forlini, nurse Ricardo Almirón, head nurse Mariano Ariel Perroni, and doctor Pedro Pablo Di Spagna. If found guilty, they could face sentences ranging from eight to 25 years in prison.
