Leandro Trossard embarks on a journey that could mark the beginning of a new chapter
The Belgian forward appears to have made an important decision regarding his future after completing an impressive season and shining at the 2026 World Cup. His next destination is already waiting for him to complete the final steps of a deal that could soon be announced.
Leandro Trossard is on his way to Istanbul to complete his move to Besiktas, a transfer that will bring his time as an Arsenal player to an end and open a new chapter in his career.
The Belgian forward will undergo the required medical examination before officially signing the contract that will make him one of the Turkish club’s main signings for the 2026-27 season.
Besiktas reaches an agreement with Arsenal
Besiktas has reportedly reached an agreement with Arsenal to complete the transfer of the Belgium international for a fee of around €20 million.
Trossard is expected to sign a three-year contract, with the option to extend it for an additional season, and would earn an annual salary of approximately €7 million.
The Turkish club announced that the player would arrive in Istanbul on Tuesday to undergo his medical tests and complete the final formalities before the official announcement.
Trossard brings his Arsenal spell to an end
The 31-year-old forward joined Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023. Although he never managed to permanently establish himself as a starter, he became an important part of Mikel Arteta’s rotation.
During the most recent season, he made 50 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing 11 assists, while also helping the London club win the Premier League title.
