After returning to action and scoring again with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo spoke publicly for the first time since his absence and made his intentions for next season clear.
The Portuguese forward scored a brace against Al Hazen and reached 964 career goals.
Is Cristiano Ronaldo putting an end to the controversy?
The 4-0 victory allowed Al Nassr to move up to 55 points, one more than Al Hilal, the club where Karim Benzema plays.
Following the match, Ronaldo expressed his commitment to Saudi Arabia and his club:
"I am very happy. As I say many times, I belong to Saudi Arabia. It is a country that welcomed me, my family and my friends very well. I am happy here and I want to stay here. And the most important thing is that we keep moving forward and that we are top of the table."
He even celebrated wearing traditional Saudi attire after the game.

The reasons behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s frustration
In previous days, Portuguese media reported that Ronaldo was dissatisfied with the management of the Public Investment Fund regarding the club, believing there was a lack of fairness compared to the treatment received by Al Hilal.
The newspaper A Bola also indicated that the protest was related to delayed payments to employees and collaborators of the Saudi club.
“A BOLA understands that Al Nassr’s structure yielded to the pressure from the Portuguese star and, in recent hours, settled all outstanding payments to its employees,” the outlet reported.
