(VIDEO) How Mbappé Ruined Carlo Ancelotti's Vacation
Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid's coach, stated in a press conference before facing Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup final that there are no "princes or kings" in his team, as all players contribute their quality for the benefit of the group.
With the signing of Kylian Mbappé this summer, the team has added another star to its roster. Names like the French forward, along with Vinícius, Rodrygo, Modrić, Camavinga, and Güler, among others, will not change the direction of the team, according to the Italian coach. The team will be playing for its first title of the season in Warsaw against Atalanta.
"There is a very healthy, very clean atmosphere. This is largely thanks to the presence of players who have been here longer, like Carvajal, Modrić, Kroos, Valverde, and others who were here, like Nacho. There are no princes or kings, just a group of players who have managed to put their quality at the service of the team. That's what we want to achieve this season," he explained.
Real Madrid, having added Kylian Mbappé to their ranks, is preparing to compete for their sixth UEFA Super Cup, facing Atalanta at the National Stadium in Warsaw. With a star-studded team including Vinícius, Modrić, and Rodrygo, and under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti, the club aims to make history and surpass Barcelona and Milan in the trophy count.
On the other hand, Atalanta arrives as the "underdog," facing several challenges, including significant injuries and uncertain situations with some key players. Despite these hurdles, coach Gian Piero Gasperini hopes his team can surprise and replicate the success they had in last season’s Europa League final.
