Vinícius Jr: Scoring Streak and Suspension Concerns
Vinícius Jr. shone from the start of the match at El Sadar by scoring a goal in the fourth minute, showcasing his excellent offensive performance. This goal brought him closer to his best streak of consecutive games scoring. However, later in the game, he also extended his streak of receiving yellow cards.
In the 64th minute, he delicately finished from the outside of his foot to score the fourth goal in Real Madrid's 4-2 victory over Osasuna.
This was Vinícius's sixth goal in the last four games, including two against Valencia, one against Leipzig and Celta de Vigo, and a brace against Osasuna. This represents his best scoring streak since September 2022, when he scored in five consecutive games.
However, alongside his scoring streak, Vinícius also faced a less favorable streak of receiving yellow cards in several consecutive matches. Against Osasuna, he was booked in the 44th minute for continuously protesting a referee's decision, which leaves him out of the next match against Athletic Club on March 31.
With the international break and the absence of league matches on the first weekend of April due to the Copa del Rey final, Vinícius will not play again for Real Madrid until April 9, in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, where he is at risk of suspension.
