Valencia Confirm Dislocation of Lyon's Former Player
Franco-Guinean center-back Mouctar Diakhaby suffered a dislocation in his right knee against Real Madrid on Saturday, according to an initial examination, which means he will almost certainly miss the remainder of the season.
After initial medical attention, the Valencia center-back remained hospitalized overnight for better clinical monitoring and is awaiting further tests, as reported by the Valencia club.
Diakhaby sustained the injury in the final minutes of the match after Frenchman Aurelien Tchouaméni fell on his right leg, forcing the Valencia player to leave the field on a stretcher and be transported from Mestalla in an ambulance.
Tchouaméni himself wished the player "a speedy recovery," and Valencia expressed "a lot of strength" to the French-born defender, stating, "The entire Valencia family is with you."
