The Curious Country Where Ronald Araujo Underwent Surgery
Ronald Araujo has undergone surgery for a hamstring tendon injury in his right thigh, which he sustained during the recent Copa América.
The Blaugrana club has not specified the recovery time, which will depend on how the injury heals, although typically this type of operation requires around four months of recovery.
The central defender traveled to Turku, Finland, this past Sunday and was operated on by specialist Lasse Lempainen, accompanied by Barcelona's doctor Ricard Pruna.
Araujo sustained the injury during the quarterfinal match of the Copa América, which Uruguay played against Brazil on July 6.
