Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal, who scored twice in his team's 4-1 victory over Girona, emphasized the importance of scoring goals to be considered among the best.

"To be one of the best, it's important to score," Yamal stated after the match. The young striker, who has been more known for his assisting abilities until now, stressed that "scoring goals is crucial to help the team."

Yamal expressed his satisfaction with Barcelona's performance under Hansi Flick, noting that "the first game after the international break is always tough." He highlighted that the team went straight for the win from the very beginning.

With a perfect record in the league, Barcelona will kick off their Champions League campaign on Thursday against Monaco. Yamal said, "It's a game we've been looking forward to since the start of the season because the Champions League is very special to us."

In Monaco, Yamal might see the return of his teammate Ansu Fati, who has yet to play this season due to plantar fasciitis. Yamal described Fati as "a special player that everyone is eager to see."
