Kimmich Says NO to Barcelona's Offer
Barcelona, currently without a coach following the dismissal of Xavi Hernández, is seeking reinforcements for the upcoming season. However, one of their primary targets has reportedly turned them down.
According to the daily Sport, Joshua Kimmich, the Bayern Munich midfielder, has rejected Barcelona's offer due to financial disagreements. The German player currently earns around $19 million at Bayern, a figure that Barcelona cannot match.
For Barcelona to even consider such a move, they need to first reduce their wage bill, which will skyrocket next week with Robert Lewandowski's salary set at around $30 million. It remains to be seen what steps the club, apparently set to be managed by Hansi Flick, will take.
