For Luis Enrique 'La Remontada' Means Nothing
The draw for the Champions League Quarterfinals left us with matchups full of history, one of them being Paris Saint-Germain vs Barcelona.
Both teams have faced each other several times in this prestigious tournament and have delivered several memorable matches, such as PSG's 4-1 victory over Barça in the 2021-22 season (where Mbappé scored a hat-trick) or, of course, Barcelona's famous comeback against PSG, where they overturned a 4-0 deficit from the first leg.
In that last match, Luis Enrique, current coach of PSG, was the coach of Barcelona. Now, being on the other side of the coin, the Spanish coach declared that the famous comeback meant nothing.
"'La Remontada' didn't help us win (the Champions League). Juventus eliminated us. While it's true that it was a special match, it wasn't the most important match of my coaching career. Everyone remembers 'La Remontada,' but before that, PSG won 4-0," said Luis Enrique.
The first leg between Parisians and Catalans will be played on April 10th at the Parc des Princes, while the return leg will take place at the Estadio Olímpico de Montjuic on April 16th.
