David de Gea is set to embark on a new chapter in his career, having reached an agreement to join Fiorentina. The signing, which is pending official confirmation, marks the goalkeeper's return to competitive football after a year away from the game. The 33-year-old will sign a one-year contract with the option for an additional year.

Last season, De Gea received several offers but chose to wait for the right project. Now, he has found the challenge he was looking for with Fiorentina, securing a salary of around three million euros net per season.
