Cristiano Ronaldo Scores a Brace in the Asian Champions League
Following this victory, Al-Nassr maintains a perfect record with three wins in as many matchdays.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace to enable Al-Nassr to stay perfect in the Asian Champions League, defeating Al Duhail from Qatar 4-3. As a result, the team reached nine points in three matches to lead Group E.
The ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid striker assisted Anderson Talisca in finding the back of the net, opening the scoring for his team in the 25th minute. Shortly after, Sadio Mane secured the second goal, and Ronaldo himself scored from long range in the 61st minute, granting Al-Nassr a three-goal advantage.
After Ismaeel Mohammad and Almoez Ali scored for Al Duhail, Cristiano Ronaldo's 81st-minute volley reinstated a two-goal lead for Al-Nassr. However, Michael Olunga's goal for Al Duhail in the final five minutes made for a nail-biting finish.
With this victory, Al-Nassr moved three points ahead of Iran's Persepolis. In the meantime, Persepolis, with a seventh-minute penalty save by Alireza Beiranvand against Senin Sebai, secured a 2-0 win in Tehran against FC Istiklol from Tajikistan.
