Argentina Keeps the Lead, Spain Rises, and Colombia Enters Top 10
The FIFA released its national team rankings after the Copa America and Euro 2024, showing significant movements in the standings.
Argentina solidifies its top position in the FIFA ranking following their victory in the Copa America.
FIFA released its latest rankings on Thursday after 125 international matches, including three continental competitions and numerous friendlies.
Argentina maintains the top spot, followed by France (2nd), UEFA Euro semifinalists, holding onto second place. Spain, the European champion, rises five positions to third place to complete the podium.
Despite losing the European final, England climbs one spot to 4th, displacing Brazil (5th).
Belgium drops out of the top 5, falling three places to 6th, followed by the Netherlands (7th) and Portugal (8th).
Colombia (9th) climbs three spots back into the top 10, which is rounded out by Italy.
After their failure in the Copa America, the United States dropped five positions and currently occupies the sixteenth (16th) place.
Turkey (26th), Panama (35th), Venezuela (37th), and Canada (40th) experience notable climbs due to their strong performances in recent competitions.
New Zealand (94th) returns to the top 100 after seven years following their victory in the OFC Nations Cup.
