After Gregg Berhalter's departure following a high-profile failure at the Copa América, the United States sought a top-tier replacement and appears to have found one: Mauricio Pochettino.
According to multiple reports, the Argentine coach has agreed to become the new head coach of the USMNT.

Pochettino’s main task will be to lead the team and build a competitive squad for the 2026 World Cup, which the United States will co-host.
Pochettino’s last managerial stint was with Chelsea, where he left at the end of the previous season.
Prior to that, he managed PSG, where he oversaw a star-studded squad including Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, and Neymar, among other global talents.
Pochettino was also recently considered to replace Gareth Southgate as England's manager. Ultimately, he will take the helm of the USMNT.
