Atlético Madrid head coach Diego Simeone addressed the upcoming 2025 Club World Cup in the United States on Saturday, describing it as a "tough, complex tournament" with "very strong opponents" in Group B.

"I’m not entirely sure how the draw was conducted, how they managed it. But I’ve seen our group, and it’ll be a tough, challenging, complex tournament with very good opponents. I imagine it will be highly competitive," Simeone stated during a press conference following the team’s training session at the Ciudad Deportiva in Majadahonda.

Atlético’s Schedule in the Club World Cup

Atlético Madrid will kick off their campaign on June 15, 2025, against Paris Saint-Germain in Los Angeles. Next, they will face the Seattle Sounders on June 19 in the Pacific Northwest. The group stage concludes on June 22, when they take on Botafogo, also in Los Angeles.
