The level of ambition that Tunisia has to make a deep run in the Africa Cup of Nations is reflected in the way the squad reacted to Saturday’s 3-2 loss to Nigeria: badly.
Tunisia scored twice against one of the tournament favorites late in the game to become the equal top scorers of AFCON 2025 after the 2nd round of group games with five goals.

That record will need to be broken if the Taifa Stars are to progress and make history for the nation. “I have a bunch of players who believe in what we are doing,” said a proud Tanzania coach Miguel Gamondi.
Belief may not be enough against an ambitious Tunisia side keen to match the exploits of its North African rivals from Morocco, Algeria and Egypt.
