After a disastrous two Africa Cup of Nations campaigns since winning the tournament back in 2019, Algeria is officially back in business.Three very comfortable wins in the group stages sees confidence restored to an Algeria side that now faces a tough test on Tuesday in a clash against DR Congo live on beIN SPORTS.

Nevertheless, Algeria having rediscovered its football mojo does not mean that the team is taking anything for granted, according to captain, Riyad Mahrez.

DR Congo’s scorer in that game, Cédric Bakambu, says that his teammates are going into the game inspired rather than daunted by the challenge. “Algeria is, in a sense, the perfect opponent to demonstrate and validate the progress we’ve made over the past several months, even years," claimed the Real Betis forward, ahead of the game.
 

Tuesday’s match looks set to be a clash between an unstoppable force and an immovable object in AFCON 2025, in a game that is truly too close to call.
