Tunisia vs Uganda: How and Where to Watch LIVE

Tunisia will face Uganda this Thursday, September 24, at Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Radès, Tunisia, in Matchday 1 of the 2027 AFCON Qualifiers. The match will be broadcast LIVE at 3:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM PT on beIN SPORTS.

How Tunisia arrive

Tunisia begin their qualifying campaign under head coach Mouine Chaâbani, who has made several changes following the national team's disappointing performance at the 2026 World Cup.

Only 14 members of the World Cup squad were retained for the opening qualifiers. Experienced internationals Ferjani Sassi, Aïssa Laïdouni and Ali Maâloul have returned, while Samy Chouchane, Sadok Kedida and Mohamed Nasraoui received their first senior call-ups.

The Eagles of Carthage will be without Hannibal Mejbri because of injury. Elyes Skhiri, meanwhile, has retired from international football.

After facing Uganda, Tunisia will travel to meet Botswana on September 28.

How Uganda arrive

Uganda enter the qualifiers with their place at AFCON 2027 already secured as one of the tournament's three co-hosts.

Head coach Paul Put named a 28-man squad for the opening matches against Tunisia and Libya, combining established internationals with players competing in several leagues abroad.

Among those selected are goalkeeper Denis Onyango, defenders Toby Sibbick and Azizi Kayondo, and forwards Rogers Mato and Steven Mukwala.

The Cranes will be without Jordan Obita and Elio Capradossi through injury. Captain Khalid Aucho is another notable absentee from this international window.

After visiting Tunisia, Uganda will host Libya on September 29.

A key match to start the qualifiers

Tunisia and Uganda share Group H with Libya and Botswana.

Unlike most qualifying groups, this section offers only one additional place at AFCON 2027 because Uganda have already qualified automatically as co-hosts.

That means Tunisia, Libya and Botswana will compete for the remaining spot at the tournament, which will take place in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

For Tunisia, collecting points against an automatically qualified opponent would be an important start to a six-match campaign. Uganda, meanwhile, will use competitive fixtures to continue preparing for the tournament on home soil.
