Tanzania arrives at the final Group B encounter still searching for its first goal and first victory in the history of the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations.

Making its debut in the continental tournament, the Taifa Stars faced an extremely demanding opening schedule.

Their campaign began with an 8-0 defeat against Egypt, one of the competition's most successful nations. Tanzania then suffered another heavy loss, falling 6-0 against Angola.
