Usain Bolt insists he will be in "perfect condition" at the Rio Olympics after his recent injury worries.

The Jamaican suffered a hamstring injury at the Olympic trials, putting his 100- and 200-metre title defences in some doubt.

However, Bolt has no questions over his fitness ahead of the showpiece 100m on August 13-14.

"I feel good. I've been training more gently the past two weeks, but I'm happy to return," he told Marca.

"I had to visit the doctor [Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt], I had to travel and I had to train, but now I feel better and I'm running without any problems.

"In Rio I will be in perfect condition.

"I was in very good shape before this injury so I'm not worried."

Bolt is the 100m world-record holder, having set his mark of 9.58 seconds in Berlin in 2009.

However, he has just the fourth fastest time in the event this year, with American Justin Gatlin running 9.80secs and 9.83secs in 2016.

But Bolt is typically confident, saying: "I won't lose any gold.

"If my coach says I can go to the Games and that I will win, then I trust him.

"I think every runner who goes to the Games is strong.

"For example, this season Yohan Blake is back, and you can look at [Trayvon] Bromell as well, while [Justin] Gatlin is also be there and will be an interesting matchup."
