In the main event, Superlek Jitmuangnon proved that he only got stronger following a three-year absence, and in the co-main event, Yodkatanyu Jitmuangnon survived a razor-close striking battle to open his ONE Championship campaign on a high note.

SUPERLEK MAKES A STATEMENT IN HIS LONG-AWAITED RETURN

Superlek Jitmuangnon proved three years away hadn't dulled his edge, as he out-dueled Morocco's Othman "The Ironside" Rhouni to earn a unanimous decision in the ONE Friday Fights 172 main event.

Rhouni came out firing early in the bantamweight Muay Thai contest, working behind a disciplined jab and heavy body shots. The Thai, however, absorbed the damage like it was nothing, went for the clinch, and began finding his rhythm.

In the second frame, Superlek smiled and turned up the pressure. He mixed body kicks, elbows, and knees to control the pace, but the Moroccan fired back with power shots of his own.

That pace only intensified in the third round, with both men trading shots until the final bell. Ultimately, Superlek's composure and volume proved decisive, sealing the win and pushing his record to 61-16 in a memorable return.

YODKATANYU SURVIVES A BATTLE OF ATTRITION

Yodkatanyu Jitmuangnon overcame a spirited effort from China's Liu Junchao to claim a split decision in the co-main event.

Yodkatanyu looked relaxed in the beginning of the flyweight kickboxing tilt, using low kicks and a sharp cross to control range. The Chinese striker attempted to push forward and apply pressure, and he even connected with an awe-inspiring superman punch.

The action tightened from there, with the Thai debutant using footwork to counter Liu's combinations, while the Chinese slugger doubled down on his knockout hunt behind heavy overhand rights.

Both men emptied the tank in a thrilling final round, but Yodkatanyu's precision and volume ultimately swayed the judges, giving him a successful ONE Championship debut and pushing his career record to 51-15.
