The Team USA women’s 3x3 squad arrives at the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2026 with a roster full of WNBA talent.
After dominating the continental tournament, the United States enters the competition in Bangkok, Thailand, as one of the teams to watch.
Key players for Team USA
Allisha Gray: the offensive leader
Allisha Gray, guard for the Atlanta Dream, brings extensive international experience and was an Olympic gold medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Games with Team USA in the traditional 5x5 format.
During the 2025 AmeriCup, Gray averaged around 5 points per game, a strong number in the 3x3 format where baskets are worth one or two points.
Gray also had one of the best seasons of her career in the 2025 WNBA season with the Atlanta Dream. Her performances earned her a place on the First Team All-WNBA, and she finished among the top four players in MVP voting.
In 3x3 basketball, Gray contributes perimeter shooting, ball handling, and international experience, making her the team’s primary offensive threat.
Veronica Burton: defense and game control
Veronica Burton, guard for the Golden State Valkyries, is the tactical engine of the team.
She stands out for her court vision, precise passing, and ability to control the tempo of the game, all essential skills in the fast-paced 3x3 format.
Burton already has experience in the discipline. In 2022 she won silver at the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup and bronze at the AmeriCup 2022.
She combines youth with tactical maturity, and her strong one-on-one defense makes her an ideal player for the intensity of 3x3 basketball.
Shakira Austin: the physical advantage
Shakira Austin provides a major physical presence for the team.
The Washington Mystics forward is known for her ability to block shots, rebound, and score near the rim. She made her debut with the national 3x3 team at the AmeriCup 2025, where her presence significantly impacted the United States’ interior play.
In the 3x3 format, her combination of size, athleticism, and mobility allows her to defend multiple positions and create constant mismatches against smaller opponents.
Naz Hillmon: energy and versatility
Naz Hillmon adds versatility to the roster, contributing rebounding, defense, and outside shooting.
Hillmon also shares strong chemistry with Allisha Gray, as both play for the Atlanta Dream and also competed together with Mist BC in the Unrivaled league, where they won the 2026 championship.
Her constant energy and ability to impact different aspects of the game make her the player who helps balance the team.
A team built on chemistry and balance
The Team USA women’s 3x3 squad arrives in Bangkok as one of the tournament favorites thanks to its team chemistry, balanced roster, and international experience.
The United States will open the tournament on March 13 against Madagascar, before facing the Netherlands and Australia on March 14.
The top two teams from the group will advance to the semifinals, scheduled for March 15.
With proven chemistry and elite WNBA talent, Team USA enters the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2026 ready to compete for the title.
