Oscar Pistorius Back In Court To Receive Sentencing Dates
The dates for Oscar Pistorius' sentencing for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp have been finalised.
Oscar Pistorius appeared in court on Monday as the dates for his sentencing for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp were finalised.
South Africa's Office of Chief Justice had previously announced Pistorius' sentencing would take place from June 13 to June 17, and that was confirmed in a court in Pretoria.
Pistorius spoke only to confirm he understood Judge Aubrey Ledwaba's decision.
Six-time Paralympic gold medallist Pistorius was initially charged with the culpable homicide of Ms Steenkamp, whom he killed by firing shots through a locked bathroom door in February 2013, and was handed a five-year jail term.
He was released on house arrest last October after serving one fifth of his sentence, but South Africa's Supreme Court of Appeal ruled in December that his initial conviction should be changed to murder - which carries a minimum jail sentence of 15 years.
