De Minaur survives scare to progress in Barcelona
Australia's Alex de Minaur is safetly through to the second round at the Barcelona Open after beating qualifier Sebastian Ofner in his first match, claiming a 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 win.
The No.3 seed was forced to save a set point in the first-set tie-break at 6-7 as he was briefly in trouble, but safely came through and took the second set more easily.
De Minaur reached the semi-finals at the ATP 500 clay-court event in 2022 and will play Hamad Medjedovic in the second round.
