Bublik, the, 2025 Austrian Open champion, could still repeat last year's feat of winning the title without dropping a set, having overpowered No.4 seed Etcheverry in one hour and 25 minutes.

Quentin Halys will be Bublik's opponent in the showpiece match, having beaten Yannick Hanfmann 6-4 7-6 (7-2) in the other semi-final.

“I think I played a great match,” Bublik said in his on-court interview.

“I think I prepared well and I executed the tactics that we had before the match, so I’m really happy with the outcome and the way that I played.”

Halys has advanced to his second ATP Tour final after also reaching the same stage in Gstaad in 2024.

His only previous ATP Tour meeting with Bublik came in Gstaad just eight days ago, when he downed the Kazakhstani in a deciding-set tie-break.

“Of course it feels great, because it was already a long time [since my last final].” Halys said after his semi-final win.

“To go back to the final and to try to win a title of course, I’m so happy. Especially the way I’m playing this week. I’ve beaten amazing players and I’m so happy to be here. I will enjoy my match again tomorrow.”
