Giovanni Di Lorenzo has committed his future to Napoli until 2030 after the Serie A giants announced their captain had signed a contract extension on Wednesday.

Ahead of Napoli's huge clash with Inter in Serie A this weekend, captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo has signed a new deal with the club.
Di Lorenzo's previous contract was due to expire in two years after penning a five-year extension back in 2023, but he will now remain at the club for another four years.
The 33-year-old is into his eighth season with Napoli, having joined the club in a reported €8m deal from Empoli in 2019, and has gone on to become a key player for the club.
He has made 307 appearances in all competitions for Napoli, scoring 20 goals and providing 36 assists, helping the Partenopei win four major honours, including two Scudettos.
Since joining Napoli, Di Lorenzo ranks fourth for goal contributions (56) and chances created (331) among Serie A defenders, and he has started both of Napoli's matches this term.
Napoli began their league campaign with a comfortable win over Genoa, but they were beaten by Como 2-1 last time out thanks to goals from Martin Baturina and Tasos Douvikas.
Napoli's next test comes in the shape of defending Serie A champions Inter, who have begun their title defence with two wins from two against Monza and Cagliari.
Inter are the team to have won the second-most games (W70 D42 L48) and scored the second-most goals (229) against Napoli in Serie A.
However, Napoli are unbeaten in their last five Serie A matches against Inter (W1 D4) and have only once registered a longer run without defeat against the Nerazzurri in the three-points-for-a-win era of Serie A, which came between May 2013 and November 2015 (W3 D3).
