Celtic appoints O'Neill as permanent manager
Celtic announced the appointed Martin O'Neill as its manager on a one-year deal, having guided the buoys to the domestic double in an interim capacity last season.
The 74 year-old has signed a one-year contract with the club, with the option for an additional year, after a successful spell as interim boss in 2025-2026.
O'Neill was named interim manager twice during the season, first after Brendan Rodgers parted ways with the club, and then again after Wilfried Nancy was sacked after a short time at the helm.
Overall, O'Neill won 19 of his 23 Scottish Premiership games, including each of its seven as it won the title on a dramatic final day clash against title rival Hearts.
O'Neill also won the Scottish Cup, defeating Dunfermline in the showpiece, to complete a domestic double.
"It is once again a great privilege for me to continue as Celtic manager," O'Neill said.
"Last season will live long in all our memories and to be part of that success has in a big way whetted the appetite to work again for more days like those and bring our supporters those moments.
“We know of course that Celtic can never rest on past success so we are now aiming to drive forward together in the coming season as we aim to deliver again for the club and our fans."
