Celtic adds Camilo Duran to Hoops attack
Camilo Duran has become Celtic's first signing of the current transfer window in a deal reportedly worth £6 million ($11.6 million).
Duran has signed a five-year deal after joining from Qarabag, where he spent just one season.
The Colombian impressed both domestically and in the UEFA Champions League, netting 15 goals in all competitions last term for Qarabag, with five of those coming in UEFA's premier competition.
He also provided 10 assists across all competitions as he helped it to a second-place finish in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
"When I first heard of the interest, there was absolutely no doubt in my mind, and I'm just excited to get playing with the boys," he said.
"I've told the manager how happy I am to be here and that I will hopefully repay him with my performances.
"It was a dream come true playing in the [UEFA] Champions League. That's what you dream of as a kid, so to score goals was amazing, and that's what I want to continue doing here, scoring goals in the [UEFA] Champions League.
"I give it my all in every game, with a lot of effort and dedication, and hopefully the goals will come."
Celtic is looking to build on last season's success under Martin O'Neill, who is back as permanent boss, when it snatched a dramatic Scottish Premiership title on the final day of the season.
O'Neill has also outlined his aim to re-sign Kelechi Iheanacho and Marcelo Saracchi.
Celtic's pre-season is already underway, and it starts its league title defence against Dundee on 4 August (AEST).
