Barcola has signed a five-year deal at Anfield, with the Reds paying PSG a reported £106m (123.8m), with add-ons taking the fee to £123m (€143.6m).

The French international becomes the Reds' second-most expensive signing, after Alexander Isak joined from Newcastle United last summer for £125m.

Barcola made 152 appearances for PSG after his move from Lyon in August 2023, scoring 39 goals and providing 35 assists.

The 23 year-old, who has won three Ligue 1 titles and back-to-back Champions Leagues with PSG, now has his eyes set on Premier League glory.

"It's a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool. I'm very happy," Barcola said.

"It took a long time but I'm really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play.

"I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it's one of my biggest dreams.

"It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that's why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it."

Since his move to PSG, Barcola has recorded the most take-on ending carries among Ligue 1 forwards, created the third-most chances, directly contributed to the third-most goals and completed the fourth-most dribbles.

He also ranked joint-top in Ligue 1 over the past three seasons for goals from fast breaks and shots from fast breaks.

Barcola's Liverpool bow could come on Saturday, when it travels to newly-promoted Ipswich Town in the Premier League.

The winger's Anfield debut is set to take place in the Champions League, with the Reds hosting Atletico Madrid on 9 September.

Barcola is likely to replace Cody Gakpo, who is set to join Liverpool's Premier League rival Manchester City.
