Juve looking to get the jump on Milan in UCL race
Juventus could leapfrog AC Milan into third place in Serie A with a win when the two meet on Monday (AEST), but Juve defender Bremer wants his side to be looking higher up the table in the future.
Juve sits fourth on the table, with a two-point cushion over Roma in fifth, ahead of a clash with AC Milan at San Siro on Monday (AEST).
Luciano Spalletti's side has gone unbeaten in its past seven matches, winning each of the past three, to put itself in the driving seat in the race for a UEFA Champions League place.
"Juve have been coasting along for six years now, and this cannot happen," Bremer warned.
"I am happy here, but it is important that the club gets back to winning ways. In order to be considered a champion player, you have to get back to winning.
"I want to win, because I am 29 years old and I cannot wait any longer. You can't just float along for six years; you need to target the Scudetto.
"Having said that, it's still early to say we'll challenge for it next season. We've got to finish this term and then see what happens on the transfer market."
Milan, meanwhile, ended a run of two straight defeats by edging to a 1-0 victory over Hellas Verona last time out.
Three losses in its past five Serie A games saw it lose ground on rival Inter Milan and slip below second-placed Napoli on the table.
It is now looking over its shoulder in the race for the UEFA Champions League positions, and coach Massimiliano Allegri is expecting a tough test when he welcomes his former side to Milan.
"It's still Milan-Juventus, one of the most important games of the season, at a moment when both sides are fighting for the top four," Allegri said.
"Spalletti's arrival has given them something more, and they are having an excellent season. Juventus are doing really well in terms of playing style and solidity.
"I think they have not conceded for the last three matches. I hope they concede tomorrow. Now we must not think about defenders, strikers or midfielders. We must think about the final result; the rest doesn't matter."
