Odobert suffers ACL tear to add to Tottenham's woes
Tottenham was dealt another injury blow, with Wilson Odobert missing the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.
The club confirmed that Odobert has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.
Odobert sustained the injury in the 2-1 loss to Newcastle United, which resulted in Thomas Frank’s sacking.
The Frenchman has made 24 appearances for Spurs this season, though has started just 10 of those matches.
"Wilson will see a specialist next week before undergoing surgery and will then commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff," Tottenham said in a statement.
Spurs were without 11 first-team players through injury and suspension for the Newcastle game, before Odobert's injury.
They sit 16th in the Premier League, five points above the relegation zone, and remain in search of a new boss.
Spurs are next in action on 22 February when they face rival Arsenal in the north London derby.
