Andrews was appointed as Thomas Frank's successor in June when the Dane left to join Tottenham, having previously been the Bees' set-piece coach last season.

His first season in charge has been largely successful so far, resulting in a new six-year deal for the Irishman.

Brentford is seventh in the Premier League, just five points behind Chelsea in fifth as it makes a surprise push for European football, having been tipped by some for relegation at the start of the season.

"When Keith accepted the job last summer, he signed a three-year contract, but the intention was always that we'd review this at the earliest opportunity," Brentford director of football Phil Giles said.

"Given our progress this season, I'm really happy that we have agreed this extension within the first nine months.

"Keith has done an outstanding job, the team are playing well, and the things we thought we could be better at this season have all improved.

"He is a really good fit for the club and the way we like to work, as he is able to bring the best out of both players and staff alike.

"Everyone at Brentford will be pleased to hear that Keith will be with us for many years to come, and I'm excited by what we can all achieve together in the coming seasons."

Across his 27 Premier League matches so far, Andrews has led Brentford to 12 wins (D4 L11) and is averaging 1.5 points per game.

He has a win rate of 44.4%, with his side netting 40 goals so far, with only six teams scoring more in the competition.
