Andrews' side was beaten 2-1 by Liverpool last weekend, having led 1-0 before ultimately being pegged back and finishing the game with nine men.
Brentford boss Andrews says Hull deserves place
Brentford boss Keith Andrews expects his side to face a real test when it goes up against Hull City on Monday (AEDT), saying the Tigers have already shown they belong at Premier League level.
Both Yehor Yarmolyuk and Vitaly Janelt were sent off and will now be suspended for the trip to Hull, with Brentford currently sixth on the Premier League table with 10 points.
Hull is only a point worse off in ninth place, having silenced many of its doubters since winning promotion via the EFL Championship play-offs.
Andrews has been impressed with how Sergej Jakirovic's side has adapted to top-flight football. "I expect a proper test; they have a way of playing that can be very testing," he said ahead of the meeting.
"They have a belief that they can absolutely compete at this level. They've shown that they can, week in, week out.
"They've produced some really, really good performances, and they've been in every single game they've played in."
After starting the season with back-to-back wins, Hull has failed to taste victory in its past five league games, most recently going down 1-0 to Fulham last week.
Centre-back Semi Ajayi says it needs to treat last week's defeat at Craven Cottage as a learning experience and move on quickly.
"It's a learning curve for us," he said. "We were well below the standards we have shown previously, and we all know that.
"In this league, even if you're only 5% down on your level, you're going to get punished, as we saw against Fulham.
"We need to put that right quickly and be much better against Brentford next weekend."
