Carlo Ancelotti's team ended 2025 on a sour note as they were held in a friendly in Lille.

Tunisia took the lead through Hazem Mastouri's 23rd-minute strike at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, but Chelsea winger Estevao dragged Brazil level from the spot before half-time.

Brazil was awarded a second spot-kick late on, but Estevao did not take it, instead ceding it to Lucas Paqueta, who blazed over.

Asked why he did not take the second penalty, Estevao said: "It was an order that came.

"I supported my team-mate so he could score the goal. Unfortunately, he missed, but he held his head high.

"[We must improve] because in a World Cup we have to take advantage of these opportunities."

Estevao, who hit the post in the closing seconds, has enjoyed a stunning rise to stardom in the last year, with the 18 year-old now a regular for Chelsea and Brazil.

"A very special year. I don't think I had many ups and downs, but I was able to handle everything that happened," Estevao said.

"Being here with the national team means that the work has been done well at the club and at home, so I'm very happy to represent the national team.

"Obviously, we always come here to help, and I'm very happy about that."
