Bundesliga club scores 21 goals in friendly thrashing
Hoffenheim blew out the cobwebs with a 21-0 flogging of Bezirkliga club SV Massenbahhausen in the TSG Dream match, which pitted the 7th-9th division German club against the ambitious Bundesliga giant in front of a sold out home crowd of 1500 spectators.
Star striker Tim Lamperle helped himself to four goals and was one of 11 players to find the net for the ambitious top division club, hoping to build on its fifth-place finish last season.
The flurry of goals didn't dampen the atmosphere at the Massenbachhausen home ground, as players stayed on the pitch after full-time to sign autographs and chat with fans - the lop-sided friendly serving as a showcase of the regional town to the wider football community, not necessarily a competitive hit-out.
