'I just want to score a lot' – Mouchon targets goals after signing for Everton
Everton have bolstered their forward line by bringing in France Under-23 international Noemie Mouchon as their first signing of the summer.
Everton's new signing Noemie Mouchon says she "just wants to score a lot" after joining the Toffees on a free transfer.
Mouchon spent two years at Leicester City, making 24 appearances and scoring twice, but left at the end of her contract in June, following the Foxes' relegation.
Her first Women's Super League goal came against Everton last October, with her other strike coming against Arsenal.
Mouchon has also played for Reims, claiming a Premiere Ligue Player of the Month trophy during that time, as well as Lille.
"I feel really excited to start with the team and this new club," Mouchon told evertontv.
"I am the type of player who can bring something on the pitch. I am a fast player, and I love to score goals, so I can't wait.
"I just want to score a lot with Everton. That's my only objective."
Mouchon is Everton's first signing of the transfer window, but it follows the news of long-standing captain Megan Finnigan penning a new contract.
Last season, Everton finished eighth in the WSL, with only three teams netting fewer than their 25 goals – West Ham (20), Liverpool (21) and Leicester (11).
Three players finished as their joint-top scorer, with Honoka Hayashi, Kelly Gago and Ornella Vignola all netting just four goals each.
