DeAndre Yedlin Leaves Inter Miami, Joins FC Cincinnati
The right-back leaves Inter Miami to join FC Cincinnati.
DeAndre Yedlin, the right-back for Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi, was announced on March 4, 2024, to have been transferred to FC Cincinnati for a total of $172,799 in General Allocation Money for this year (2024).
Additionally, Inter Miami's Sporting Director, Chris Henderson, announced the following regarding Yedlin's departure, 'DeAndre has been a leader for us, both on and off the field, and we are very grateful for everything he has done for Inter Miami. I've known him since his days in the Seattle academy, and I'm proud to see his success here, including helping the team lift its first trophy,' he commented.
Furthermore, Henderson also discussed the sales that this move will bring to the team in the future, 'This trade gives us the flexibility to continue building our squad. Our ambitions remain high, and we will look to use the space created by this move to improve our team as we aim to compete for titles,' the club stated on its social media.
Yedlin joined the club in the 2022 season, making 82 appearances, providing nine assists, and serving as captain before Lionel Messi arrived at the institution.
