Appealing to audiences all over Europe, fans will now be able to get a taste for the unique MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship atmosphere outside of the circuit, thanks to the new WorldSBK Warm Up Tour.
Visiting some of the key towns and cities in Europe ahead of the WorldSBK weekend, fans will have the chance to become part of the event days before the circus rolls into the circuit. Planning to be on the road from the End of March, when the series hits the first European destination of MotorLand Aragon, until September at the final Round on the continent in France, fans won’t miss out on the action.
Preparing to take to the streets of capital cities, before then pitching up at local towns around the circuits of: MotorLand Aragon, Assen, Imola, Donington Park, Brno, Misano, Portimao and Magny-Cours the WorldSBK Warm-Up Tour will visit seven countries across 18 weeks.
Marc Saurina, WorldSBK Commercial & Marketing Director offers his insight regarding the exciting addition to the WorldSBK Show: “Experience, Proximity, Passion, People. These are the words and values that inspire us to make all our decisions. The 2018 Warm up Tour represents an innovative and direct way to promote our Rounds, and to build on the increasing SBK® brand awareness. We will be sending out the messages and values we firmly believe in, on a new potential target audience we are yet to explore.”
Much like the exhibitions seen across paddocks in Europe, the truck will be set up with family activities such as a kid’s mini track to test their race pace, giant screens and games for all ages to play. Taking home prizes and WorldSBK memorabilia, it won’t be an event to forget in a hurry and will provide a taste of the SBK® essence days before it hits the circuit.
