The whole of La Liga watched in stunned silence and admiration as Valencia put together a 16-pass, 49-second build up to a back-breaking goal that extended their lead against Barcelona at the Camp Nou to 0-2 just before halftime.
The goal had a striking similarity in its creation to many of the goals that Barcelona has scored over the last decade in terms of creativity and teamwork. Barcelona players were left shaking their heads as they walked to the dressing room after 45 minutes as did Manager Luis Enrique.
Although they would score a goal in the second half, the damage was done as Barcelona sunk to their third straight defeat as a result of this wonderful goal. Below is a diagram of the build up.
