Transfer Rumors: Liverpool Eye Chicharito, Inter To Make Double Move For Sampdoria Pair
All the top transfer stories from the European press this morning.
It's Wednesday, wake up! Here are plenty of rumors from all the major European papers doing the rounds today.
Everton will demand that Manchester United pay £65m if they want to sign Romelu Lukaku, says (The Sun). United are short on attacking talent, and see the Belgian as the ideal solution to that.
Chelsea are seeking to boost their season, and will go back to Shakhtar Donetsk for that. Willian came from the Ukrainian outfit to great success, but the London outfit could have trouble doing it again. Shakhtar want £30m for Alex Teixeira, and despite the Brazilian talking up a move it could prove difficult for Chelsea to meet that price. (Daily Star)
(Marca) say Atletico Madrid are not too concerned about Jackson Martinez, despite his lack of goals. This is backed up by the report Atleti have denied a £23m bid for the Colombian. Jackson only arrived in the summer, and has been handed constant backing by Diego Simeone. Let’s see if a bigger offer could tempt the Liga leaders.
Back so soon? Jurgen Klopp is considering a bid for Javier Hernandez, according to (Calciomercato). The Mexican star has been in sensation form with Bayer Leverkusen, and a swift Premier League return could be on the cards. Could Chicharito deal with the bitter rivalry between Liverpool and his former club Manchester United though? It’s a factor in any deal, for sure.
Double boost for Inter? (Corriere dello Sport) are pretty sure that when Inter come into some money off the Fredy Guarin sale, they will be sending that money to Sampdoria. Why? Well Eder and Roberto Soriano are seen as the pair to to help Inter’s title bid, and boost a flagging squad. It would be a serious capture for Roberto Mancini, but Samp will no doubt play hard ball on the superb pair.
Iñaki Williams is a name being banded about in this current market, and it sounds like there is another interested party. (AS) are going with the report that Manchester City’s joined the growing pack. The Athletic Bilbao striker has exploded this season, building on the great potential he has. Premier League clubs are particularly keen, but Athletic are notoriously tough when it comes to parting with their talents.
Barcelona doing some business? Well, a sale that is. Schalke 04 are being linked with Marca Bartra today, according to the main paper in the Spanish city, (Sport). Bartra is one of several players the German side fancy, with Marcos Rojo at Manchester United another name linked. Benedikt Howedes’ injury has forced Schalke to look for replacements in their defensive line.
