It was a historic day in numerous European top flight football leagues on Saturday, especially for the top strikers on the planet. 

In their respective last league games of the season, Luis Suarez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo broke personal, team and league records and came away with all manner of plaudits. Let's go through them. 

Luis Suarez -- Golden Shoe, Pichichi, La Liga: The Uruguayan netted another hat-trick to finish with 40 goals and become the European Golden Shoe winner and La Liga Pichichi. Barcelona also won La Liga title. 

Zlatan Ibrahimovic -- Ligue 1 Scoring Title, Ligue 1 Title, Becomes All-Time PSG Season Scoring Leader: Ibra scored a brace against Nantes to cap off a brilliant 4 years with PSG.

Gonzalo Higuain -- All-Time Serie A Season Scoring Record, Capocannoniere: The Argentina finished off a magical year for Napoli with a hat-trick and set a record that ensures he will go down in the history of the club and Serie A.

Cristiano Ronaldo -- Becomes first ever player to score 50 goals in six straight seasons: The Portuguese star will be disappointed with a second-place finish in La Liga and Pichichi, but his brace did break yet another record.
