Oakland Raiders Star Marcelo Reece To Miss Pro Bowl After Testing Positive For PEDs
Raiders fullback Marcel Reece will miss the Pro Bowl and his team's next four regular-season NFL games after returning a positive drug test.
Oakland Raiders fullback Marcel Reece will miss the Pro Bowl and his team's next four regular-season games after testing positive for performance enhancing substances.
"Marcel Reece of the Oakland Raiders has been suspended without pay for the team’s next four regular-season games for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances," the NFL said in a statement. "He is no longer eligible to participate in the 2016 Pro Bowl."
Reece caught 30 passes and three touchdowns in 2015. He will miss the team's season finale against the Chiefs and their first three regular-season games of 2016, although he will be able to participate in all off-season and pre-season practices and games.
The suspension could leave the door open for Reece's rival fullback Jamize Olawale to force his way into the team.
