Report: MLS Negotiating Player Pay Cuts
Major League Soccer has reportedly opened negotiations over player pay cuts due to the coronavirus pandemic
Major League Soccer has proposed cutting player wages as much as 50 per cent amid the coronavirus pandemic, ESPN reports.
The proposal would go into effect only if games are cancelled, with players receiving more of their salaries depending on how many games are played.
The MLS Players' Association is likely to push back on the proposal as talks continue over the future of the MLS season, which is postponed until at least June 8.
