Los Angeles Galaxy are looking into the possibility of installing former striker Robbie Keane as their new head coach, according to ESPN.
Guillermo Barros Schelotto was axed at the end of last month, with Dominic Kinnear placed in charge until the end of the season, and club officials have spoken to Keane who is said to be interested in the role.
The 40-year-old was part of Mick McCarthy's coaching staff with the Republic of Ireland, while also acting as Jonathan Woodgate's assistant coach at Middlesbrough.
Keane enjoyed great success with the MLS franchise during his playing days, winning three MLS Cups and scoring 83 goals during his 125 appearances for the Los Angeles outfit.
