Men's College Basketball Roundup: Monarchs, 49ers Grab Wins
It was a good weekend for Middle Tennesse, Old Dominion, and UNC Charlotte who extend their bragging rights for at least another week after grabbing streak-saving wins.

Middle Tennessee won its sixth-straight game with a 67-55 victory on the road at South Alabama. The Blue Raider trio of JaCorey Williams, Reggie Upshaw and Giddy Potts combined for 42 points and the team shot 50 percent from the field on the night.
Charlotte and Old Dominion have each won three in a row following their performances today. The 49ers knocked off Oregon State, 69-66, as sophomores Jon Davis and Andrien White tossed in 22 and 19 points, respectively. ODU picked up a 60-58 win on the road against Towson. Brothers B.J.and Brandan Stith worked in tandem to score 28 points for the Monarchs.
Louisiana Tech senior Erik McCree posted a career-night with 33 points and 18 rebounds in an 88-59 victory over Southeastern Louisiana. The Bulldogs are riding a streak of their own with 11 consecutive wins at the Thomas Assembly Center.

C-USA MEN’S BASKETBALL SHOOTING STARS
- Middle Tennessee won its sixth-straight contest with a 67-55 victory at South Alabama Saturday night. Redshirt senior JaCorey Williams(Birmingham, Ala.), the reigning C-USA Player of the Week, scored a game-high 16 points. Junior G Giddy Potts (Athens, Ala.) and senior Reggie Upshaw Jr. (Chattanooga, Tenn.) tossed in 13 points apiece. Williams and Upshaw each grabbed seven rebounds.
- Charlotte defeated Oregon State, 69-66, for its third win in a row. Sophomore Jon Davis (Upper Marlboro, Md.) scored eight of his game-high 22 points in the final three minutes and went 12-of-13 from the free-throw line. Classmate Andrien White (Richmond, Va.) added 19 points.
- Old Dominion also won its third-straight by picking up a 60-58 victory over host Towson Saturday afternoon. Redshirt sophomore B.J. Stith(Lawrenceville, Va.) tallied 15 points, while his brother Brandan Stith (Lawrenceville, Va.) added 13 points and six rebounds. Sophomore F Ahmad Caver (Atlanta, Ga.) drained four three-pointers and finished with 12 points in the win.
- Louisiana Tech senior Erik McCree (Orlando, Fla.) registered a career-night with 33 points and a personal-best 18 rebounds in an 88-59 victory over Southeastern Louisiana. McCree’s 18 boards were the most by a Bulldog since Olu Aahaolu had 18 on Jan. 27, 2011. Freshman DaQuan Bracey (Baltimore, Md.) added a career-high 14 points, eight assists and no turnovers. The rookie is among the national leaders with a 10.7 assist-to-turnover ratio on the season. Louisiana Tech has won 11 in a row on its home court at the Thomas Assembly Center.
